🛡️ What Order Shield Is

At checkout you may see an Optional Order Shield option. When you opt in, BowlersMart’s support team handles eligible loss, theft, and transit-damage issues with a single point of contact — you work with us instead of navigating carrier claim processes alone.

Benefits of adding Order Shield include:

• Coverage up to the full merchandise value of your order (subject to terms)
• Help with packages marked delivered but not received (subject to verification)
• Transit damage — including many internal-damage situations for bowling equipment when reported promptly
• Priority handling and replacement shipping when a claim is approved
• Photo-based documentation for most damage claims

Flat fee tiers based on cart subtotal (shown clearly at checkout before you pay):

Order Shield is never auto-added. You must check the box to include it.

✅ What It Covers

When Order Shield was purchased on the order, we review claims involving:

• Packages confirmed lost in transit by the carrier
• Packages marked delivered but not received (subject to verification)
• Items damaged during transit (including visible external damage)
• Internal damage to bowling equipment from rough handling — report unexpected performance issues within 7 days of delivery

🚫 What It Does Not Cover

• Cosmetic damage only (minor scratches or dents that don’t affect use)
• Manufacturing defects (use our Defect Claims process)
• Wrong item / wrong size (use returns/exchanges)
• Buyer’s remorse or change of mind
• Damage after successful delivery and acceptance (normal use, storage, drilling, etc.)
• Orders where Order Shield was not purchased

📍 Where It’s Available

Order Shield is offered on most U.S. orders. It is not available when the billing address is in:

• California (CA)
• New York (NY)
• Oklahoma (OK)
• Utah (UT)

Customers in those states will not see Order Shield at checkout. Carrier liability and our normal support for shipping issues still apply — see Missing or Stolen Package Claims and Defect Claims.

📝 How to File a Claim

1. Gather your order number, tracking number, and photos (for damage: item + packaging).
2. Contact us:

   • Email: support@bowlersmart.com
3. Use subject line: Order #________ — Order Shield claim
4. Tell us whether the issue is lost, stolen/delivered-not-received, or damaged.

↩️ Refunding the Fee

If you added Order Shield by mistake, you may request a refund of the Order Shield fee any time before the order ships by contacting support@bowlersmart.com or calling 1-256-579-1039. After the order has shipped, the fee is non-refundable.

📦 If You Don’t Add Order Shield

• Your order still ships with free shipping and standard carrier liability.
• You can still contact BowlersMart for help tracking packages and filing defect claims for manufacturing issues.
• Lost/stolen packages may require working with the carrier’s claim process; resolution can take longer and coverage may be limited (often around $100 per package depending on the carrier).
