Quick Summary
Bowling balls ship undrilled unless you add drilling yourself. Basic Drilling Service is an optional $24.95 add-on you select on the ball's product page, and it shows as its own line in your cart and on your order confirmation. No drilling line means no drilling.

🎳 Quick Answer
- Undrilled is the default. We never drill a ball you did not ask us to drill
- Drilling is $24.95 per ball and appears as a separate cart line
- Only a small selection of balls offer it. Basic Drilling is limited to entry-level models. If no Drilling option appears on the product page, that ball ships undrilled
- A drilled ball is final sale and takes 7 to 10 business days to ship
📦 What You Get by Default
Order a ball and nothing else, and it arrives exactly as it left the manufacturer: no holes, no inserts, no layout. Most balls we sell can only be bought this way, and plenty of customers prefer it, because their own pro shop drills to their measurements.
Drilling only happens when you choose it on the product page before adding the ball to your cart.
🔍 How to Check Your Cart or Order
- Open your cart, or the order confirmation email.
- Look under the ball for a separate Basic Drilling Service line at $24.95, with a hand and a size, for example "Right Hand, Basic Medium".
- If that line is not there, the ball is going out undrilled.
The $24.95 is charged per ball. Two balls with drilling is $49.90 of drilling.
🚫 Removing Drilling
- Before checkout: remove the drilling line from your cart. The ball stays and ships undrilled.
- After checkout: contact us immediately with your order number. Drilling work starts quickly, and once the ball is drilled it cannot be undone.
➕ Adding Drilling
Basic Drilling Service is offered on a selected group of entry-level balls only, the models a newer bowler buys as a first ball or a spare ball. On those product pages a Drilling option appears: choose right or left hand and one of five preset sizes from our published chart.
Higher performance balls are deliberately not offered with Basic Drilling. Those balls are drilled to a layout built around your measurements and your ball motion, which needs a pro shop who has you in front of them. They ship undrilled so your shop can do that properly.
Basic Drilling is a standard package, not a custom fitting. We cannot measure your hand from here, so the fit is not guaranteed.

⚠️ Once a Ball Is Drilled
- Drilled balls are final sale: no returns, no exchanges, unless the ball itself is defective
- The drilling charge is non-refundable
- Allow 7 to 10 business days for a drilled ball to ship, and expect it to hold other items on the same order
An undrilled ball, by contrast, can be returned within 60 days in its original condition. See the Return Policy.
